In the last few months, successive cyclones, flooding, earthquakes, and massive power outages have had devastating consequences for the people on the island of Cuba. Additional policy changes in Washington have further increased depravations have compounded the effects of widespread and long-term shortages of fuel, medicine and essential supplies.
On Sunday February 16, live concerts were produced to SRO crowds n NYC, Chicago, and in the Bay Area. The concerts were filmed by professional crews and edited to create one 2 hour streaming concert. Organizers across the country will support the outreach effort to reach viewers globally via HotHouseGlobal's You Tube channel and via Facebook Live.
While the streaming concert will be presented without paywalls, during the event links in the film will invite viewers to make donations to Global Health Partners ( GPH ) and The People’s Forum (TPF), designated intermediary recipients.
Both GPH and TPF are experienced in managing the logistics of large scale relief efforts and are our designated partners to deliver the supplies.
The fundraising effort will additionally contribute proceeds directed to support humanitarian aid for Cuba.
