Featuring Jazz en Clavé.

HotHouse’s renowned Jazz en Clavé Festivals (2002-2006) featured such luminaries such as Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Palmieri, Jerry Gonzalez, Arturo O’Farrill and Giovanni Hidalgo while also staging the US debut of Cubans Dafnis Prieto, Yunior Terry and Basilio Marquez. Ensuing his HotHouse debut, Dafnis Preito was recognized as a Mac Arthur Fellow in part due to our contribution to building recognition for his talents.

HotHouse will host the festival in several locations, including the Chicago Historical Society, The Park West, HotHouse, The Gene Siskal Film Center, The Puerto Rican Cultural Center, The Chicago Cultural Center, and The Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center.
